Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 2.61%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Dogus Otomotiv Servis ve Ticaret AS (IS:DOAS), which rose 10.00% or 17.30 points to trade at 190.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) added 9.95% or 4.78 points to end at 52.80 and Akbank TAS (IS:AKBNK) was up 8.47% or 5.70 points to 73.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Margun Enerji Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAGEN), which fell 4.08% or 1.06 points to trade at 24.90 at the close. Oyak Cimento Fabrikalari AS (IS:OYAKC) declined 3.60% or 1.00 points to end at 26.80 and Anadolu Anonim Turk Sigorta Sti (IS:ANSGR) was down 2.61% or 2.80 points to 104.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 310 to 258 and 25 ended unchanged.
Shares in Akbank TAS (IS:AKBNK) rose to all time highs; gaining 8.47% or 5.70 to 73.00.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.74% or 49.46 to $2,897.96 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.42% or 0.29 to hit $69.47 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.23% or 0.17 to trade at $72.64 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.11% to 36.43, while EUR/TRY rose 1.34% to 38.27.
