The U.S. President, Donald Trump, announced on Monday that countries purchasing oil or gas from Venezuela will face a 25% tariff on their trades with the United States.

Trump revealed in a post on Truth Social that this “secondary tariff” is set to come into effect starting from April 2. This move indicates a new approach in the U.S.’s economic relations with countries engaging in energy trade with Venezuela.
