Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Banking and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Agrotech Yuksek Teknoloji ve Yatirim AS (IS:AGROT), which rose 9.96% or 0.82 points to trade at 9.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) added 9.95% or 13.00 points to end at 143.60 and Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:REEDR) was up 9.92% or 1.18 points to 13.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS (IS:YEOTK), which fell 7.52% or 4.35 points to trade at 53.50 at the close. Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik AS (IS:ANHYT) declined 4.75% or 4.70 points to end at 94.20 and Altinay Savunma Teknolojileri AS (IS:ALTNY) was down 4.34% or 4.20 points to 92.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 289 to 284 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) rose to all time highs; rising 9.95% or 13.00 to 143.60.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.07% or 2.29 to $3,052.01 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.41% or 0.97 to hit $69.97 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 1.23% or 0.89 to trade at $73.28 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.13% to 38.00, while EUR/TRY rose 0.17% to 41.02.
