In response to potential reciprocal tariffs from the United States, China has announced it will take firm countermeasures to protect its interests. This information comes from a social media account associated with Chinese state broadcaster CCTV, which made the statement on Friday.

The account, known as Yuyuantantian, also outlined China’s stance on cooperation talks with the U.S. According to the post, mutual respect is a mandatory prerequisite for any discussions between the two nations.
