OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said Tuesday that he had productive talks with President Trump, according to the New York Times (NYSE:NYT).

Altman also affirmed that there was a need to regulate artificial intelligence, the report indicated.

The OpenAI executive described having a “super nice call” with Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) Chief Executive Satya Nadella on Monday, according to the report.

Microsoft is a major investor in OpenAI, the company behind the popular ChatGPT artificial intelligence platform.
