Japan stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Real Estate, Banking and Textile sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 gained 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the Nikkei 225 were Japan Steel Works Ltd (TYO:5631), which rose 6.10% or 571.00 points to trade at 9,925.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. (TYO:8801) added 5.85% or 82.50 points to end at 1,492.50 and Kajima Corp. (TYO:1812) was up 5.39% or 212.00 points to 4,147.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Okuma Corp. (TYO:6103), which fell 9.25% or 375.00 points to trade at 3,680.00 at the close. Nichirei Corp. (TYO:2871) declined 8.98% or 164.00 points to end at 1,662.50 and Mercari Inc (TYO:4385) was down 6.91% or 160.00 points to 2,155.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 2586 to 1001 and 254 ended unchanged.

The Nikkei Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Nikkei 225 options, was down 9.63% to 23.66.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.06% or 0.69 to $65.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.06% or 0.72 to hit $68.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 6.39 to trade at $3,428.31 a troy ounce.
USD/JPY was up 0.01% to 147.60, while EUR/JPY rose 0.05% to 170.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 98.56.
