Australia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, IT and A-REITs sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sydney, the S&P/ASX 200 rose 1.29%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/ASX 200 were Qube Holdings Ltd (ASX:QUB), which rose 19.41% or 0.79 points to trade at 4.86 at the close. Meanwhile, Reece Ltd (ASX:REH) added 12.66% or 1.39 points to end at 12.37 and Sims Metal Management Ltd (ASX:SGM) was up 8.02% or 1.21 points to 16.29 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Liontown Resources Ltd (ASX:LTR), which fell 6.46% or 0.10 points to trade at 1.38 at the close. Pilbara Minerals Ltd (ASX:PLS) declined 3.59% or 0.14 points to end at 3.76 and Mineral Resources Ltd (ASX:MIN) was down 3.17% or 1.55 points to 47.29.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Sydney Stock Exchange by 711 to 446 and 404 ended unchanged.
Shares in Qube Holdings Ltd (ASX:QUB) rose to all time highs; gaining 19.41% or 0.79 to 4.86.
The S&P/ASX 200 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options, was down 9.98% to 13.78.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.93% or 38.30 to $4,077.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.43% or 0.25 to hit $58.06 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.03% or 0.02 to trade at $61.96 a barrel.
AUD/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 0.65, while AUD/JPY rose 0.18% to 101.15.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 100.07.
