Nordex has reached an agreement to supply Alliant Energy with up to 190 wind turbines for large-scale projects in the Midwest region of the United States.
The supply deal includes N133 and N163 Delta4000-variant turbines that will provide a total capacity of up to 1,060 MW, according to a statement from the company.
The agreements will only become effective after required regulatory approvals are obtained and do not yet represent a firm order for the wind turbine manufacturer.
Installation of the turbines is scheduled to take place in 2028 and 2029.
Nordex plans to manufacture the turbines at its facility in West Branch, Iowa, where the company recently restarted production operations for turbine hubs, drivetrains and nacelles.
