Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Agriculture, Basic Industry and Property sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index gained 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were MDTV Media Technologies Tbk PT (JK:NETV), which rose 34.19% or 40.00 points to trade at 157.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Alfa Energi Investama Tbk PT (JK:FIRE) added 29.55% or 39.00 points to end at 171.00 and Eka Sari Lorena Transport Tbk (JK:LRNA) was up 25.00% or 60.00 points to 300.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PT Cahayasakti Investindo Sukses Tbk (JK:CSIS), which fell 15.10% or 67.00 points to trade at 376.00 at the close. Hotel Fitra International Tbk PT (JK:FITT) declined 14.96% or 95.00 points to end at 540.00 and Nusantara Pelabuhan Handal Tbk PT (JK:PORT) was down 14.90% or 225.00 points to 1,285.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 460 to 265 and 120 ended unchanged.
Shares in Alfa Energi Investama Tbk PT (JK:FIRE) rose to 52-week highs; rising 29.55% or 39.00 to 171.00. Shares in Eka Sari Lorena Transport Tbk (JK:LRNA) rose to 5-year highs; rising 25.00% or 60.00 to 300.00.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.87% or 0.49 to $57.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.83% or 0.50 to hit $60.97 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.24% or 54.50 to trade at $4,441.80 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.27% to 16,779.90, while AUD/IDR rose 0.66% to 11,134.45.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 98.21.
